quattro media has been the permanent media partner of the Absa Cape Epic since 2005, continuously evolving the event’s global media footprint through creative output strategies, complex host broadcasting solutions — in collaboration with host production company Bigshot Media and technical streaming provider Teradek — and a bold distribution vision. This year, we once again demonstrated our strength in sports storytelling by delivering world-class media coverage for the 2025 edition of the legendary Absa Cape Epic, the Untamed African MTB Race.
For this 21st edition of the race, quattro media deployed a team of project managers, editors, camera operators, and journalists on-site for exclusive pre- and mid-race content creation. This included insightful sit-down interviews, ensuring high-impact content distribution throughout all eight days of racing and beyond. Daily news cuts, online & social media clips, 26-minute daily highlight shows and LIVE feeds were produced and distributed to international media partners, reinforcing the Cape Epic’s status as the most televised mountain bike stage race in the world.
New in 2025: the launch of The Epic Series – a six-part documentary capturing the breathtaking beauty, raw emotion, and extreme endurance that define the world’s most challenging MTB stage races. Each episode offers a deep dive into the physical and psychological limits faced by riders, combining exhilarating race reports, compelling rider profiles, expert tech insights, and rare behind-the-scenes access.
