On Sunday, August 23, 2026, the M4Energy City Biathlon Dresden once again transformed the Saxon capital into an arena for world-class biathlon. Olympic medalists, World Champions and World Cup stars including Sturla Holm Lægreid (NOR), Éric Perrot (FRA) and Lisa Vittozzi (ITA) lined up for the third edition of the unique summer competition. The combination of elite-level competition on roller skis and an electric stadium atmosphere attracted more than 4,000 spectators, who witnessed victories for German local hero Justus Strelow and Czech athlete Tereza Voborníková.

As in previous years, German public broadcaster ZDF served as host broadcaster for the event. Event organizer and marketer n plus sport GmbH partnered with quattro media to produce the international LIVE World Feed and manage international TV rights sales outside Germany. Weeks of planning, testing and technical preparation went into delivering an international broadcast solution. The setup included signal transmission from the ZDF OB Van in Dresden to the quattro media LIVE studio near Munich, the integration of a remote commentator based in England, and the production of VTs to transform the ZDF coverage into an international broadcast feed. The International World Feed was distributed to a wide range of leading broadcasters across France, Austria, Scandinavia, the Czech Republic and Bulgaria, as well as to major digital platforms including the IOC’s Olympic Channel and the EBU’s own OTT platform “Eurovision Sport".

During the LIVE event, the quattro media team also worked closely with the social media team at n plus sport GmbH to deliver fast-turnaround social clips, bringing the action and atmosphere to audiences beyond the live broadcast. Following the event, a highlights package was produced on the same evening, capturing the best and most emotional moments from Dresden. Together with digital out-of-home clips, the content is distributed to key publishers and screens reaching audiences in universities, train stations, shopping malls, gyms and other high-traffic locations.
