A breathtaking world-first by Austrian freeride star Elias Schwärzler has captured audiences worldwide. Following two years of preparation, the spectacular project has already been featured by more than 250 television channels worldwide, with quattro media leading the international media distribution.

Elias Schwärzler on the collaboration: "It’s simply incredible! Working with quattro media has far exceeded even my wildest expectations! A milestone for my future projects!"

At an altitude of 950 metres, Elias Schwärzler rode his bike on top of a hot-air balloon before launching into a double front flip into open air and landing safely under a parachute. The stunt is considered the first of its kind worldwide, combining mountain biking, ballooning, and BASE jumping.

The achievement adds another remarkable chapter to Schwärzler's career. In 2022, the Austrian rider set an official Guinness World Record by reaching 272 km/h towed behind a motorbike on a standard-production bicycle, becoming the fastest person ever on a bicycle.

When Elias approached quattro media with the project, we immediately recognized its exceptional potential for international media coverage. Together with Elias and his team, we developed a tailored global media strategy designed to maximize visibility for both the athlete and his commercial partners.

The editorial storytelling focused not only on the spectacular stunt itself, but also on the extraordinary planning, technical precision, and teamwork required to execute the project safely. This approach created compelling content that resonated with broadcasters, digital publishers, and audiences around the world while delivering valuable exposure for the project's sponsors.

The international media rollout was executed across all major distribution channels, including Digital Out of Home (DOOH), linear television, online media, social media, and OTT platforms. Through quattro media's comprehensive monitoring systems, the project has already been tracked on more than 250 television channels worldwide and went viral across social media and the core biking community, underlining the global appeal of this unique achievement.

To complete the story, a 26-minute documentary is currently in production, providing exclusive behind-the-scenes insights into the preparation, logistics, and flawless execution required to bring this world-first project to life.

This project once again demonstrates how extraordinary sporting achievements, combined with strategic international media distribution, can create global visibility and lasting value for athletes, brands, and partners.
