The Client
The World Triathlon Corporation WTC is organizing the Ironman Triathlon World Series. An Ironman competition consists of a 2.4-mile (3.86 km) swim, a 112-mile (180.25 km) cycling ride and a marathon run of 26.22-mile (42.20 km). It is widely considered as one of the toughest one-day sporting events in the world.
The Challenge
Ironman gave us different challenges from the beginning of hiring our services in 2008:

Production of 10 hour live broadcasts from 8 European events in 2018
Our Solutions
quattro media installed consistent production teams per season.

We established onsite editing and immediate distribution of content from the event sites.
​
We implemented special production equipment for filming - also on motorbikes during competition.
​
We delivered 26 min magazine shows to HBS.
​
We ran the first-ever multi camera live production of 8 European Ironman events in 2018 with a remote directing system based in Munich and LTE card transmission from 8 parallel camera signals (Teradek).
